Smith Vocational and Agricultural High School – New Horticulture Building

New Construction Education

Constructed to support the Horticulture Shop program at Smith Vocational and Agricultural High School, this new single-story, 8,000-square-foot facility offers a modern hub for hands-on technical education. Built over a 12-month schedule, the project encompassed full site development, wood-frame construction, complete mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems, and detailed interior finishes.

designed with practical vocational training in mind, the space features three classrooms, a dedicated horticulture shop, an equipment repair bay, administrative offices, secure storage, and restrooms. Architecturally, the building showcases soaring wood-framed vaulted ceilings, durable concrete flooring, and high-clearance overhead bay doors to accommodate service trucks and machinery—delivering an ideal, functional environment for students.
